Mimi G Tank Top 2 Tank Dress

Hello All! I didn’t think I was going to do a blog post today because I haven’t sewn anything lately. However, as I was looking through different pictures and I found this one. This is the Tank Top 2 Tank Dress by Mimi G, posted on the Michael Levine Blog on April 21, 2015. Of course I had to put it on my sewing to do list. It took me about a month to sew it because I wanted the perfect fabric. I found this knit fabric in the remnant section at Fine Fabrics, and I knew immediately what I was going to do with it. The pattern used for this sew along is Simplicity 1167 and you only use 4 pieces. The 4 pieces are the front, back, neck binding, and arm hole binding, however I only used the front and back pieces.  The pattern is a tank top but Mimi G shows you how to extend the front and back pieces to turn it into a dress. It was a quick and easy project and I love the end result. Check out the pictures below. See you later!
