Hello All! First of all let me say, I have no idea why my shirt is so shiny! However, I am in love with these pants. They are Burda 7400 view A. I initially wanted to make view B, but once I tried them on to test the fit I changed my mind. I still intend to sew view B but right now I am completely obsessed with view A and I have already cut out another pair.
I found this fabric in the remnant section at Fine Fabrics, so I have no idea what it is. It feels like Rayon and it has some stretch. I wanted to make some joggers with this fabric, but I didn’t want the “I Dream of Jeannie” look! Check out the pattern review below.
Pattern Description: Pants
Fabric used: It feels like Rayon and it has some stretch (I think)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done? Yes
What size did you cut? 14
Level of difficulty: Easy
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like that the pants are wide leg and you can also make joggers
Pattern alterations or design changes: Since I initially started sewing view B but changed my mind, I actually used the leg bands for my waistband. Now I did this in error but it actually worked out well because the waistband I cut was too small. I also sewed the waistband on backwards, so the raw edges were on the outside (oops). Luckily the pants are black, so I was able to serge the seams and it looks like a unique design element.
Would you sew it again? Yes, I have already cut out another pair
Would you recommend it for others? Yes
Very cute. And you know I love a palazzo style pant! Don’t you just love it when a sewing error turns out to be a good thing anyway. Nice!
Yes!!!! Thanks, me and waistbands are in a love/hate relationship!
Very cute!
Thank you Rhonda!
