Crop Top + Leggings

Hello All! So one day I was perusing Facebook and I saw this awesome crop top and my mind went in all different directions!

I knew exactly what fabric to use and how I wanted to use it. The problem with this is I didn’t have enough fabric, however I made it work!

I found this gorgeous Ponte knit fabric at Gale K Fabrics. My first visit to Gale K Fabrics, I didn’t know where to start because they have so much Ponte knit that I wanted to buy it all! Of course they sell more than just Ponte knit but I was very distracted. The only problem with my obsession is I am very frugal so I did not want to pay $10 a yard for this fabric. Needless to say I had to make my choices wisely!

Any who I used Simplicity 1283 view A to make this crop top. I extended the collar up 5 inches to make the cowl neck. I didn’t have enough fabric to make it into a hood, but I’m looking forward to creating that later.

The boots are from Rack Room, I couldn’t find them online but you can find some similar here. I purchased these Faux Leather Paneled Ponte Leggings from White House Black Market outlet at North Georgia Premium Outlets. I love them because they are Ponte and they have this awesome leather detail down the sides.

See you later!

Let me go get my tripod…lol

  2. Looking good! I see you with those curves! Werk! I may copy your idea for making the crop top a hood. That’d be great for the fall!
